Now in its 35th year, the Sundance Film Festival is the largest independent film festival in the U.S. Each January, tens of thousands of film enthusiasts flock to Utah to dine, mingle and watch leading cinema. This year, Meatless Monday was on hand at several events around Park City, celebrating delicious meatless meals with top chefs and striking a pose with moviegoers.
The Meatless Monday Barnyard Friends made their appearance at the Veggie Burger Bar, where guests were treated to free MorningStar Farms meat-free burgers throughout the festival. Thousands came to have their picture taken and discover the benefits of getting the beef off their buns! On the first day alone, over 1,000 people came to sample tasty combos like the popular Alpine Burger, featuring caramelized onions and fresh mushrooms.
On Monday, January 21nd, celebrities, chefs and distinguished guests were able to learn more about Meatless Monday at Chefdance, where Chef Shawn McClain cooked up a special four-course meal for everyone to enjoy. Several in attendance showed their support for the continued growth of the movement through educational opportunities.
