Meatless Moves to NYU

March 12th, 2012

New York University is now a Meatless Monday campus! The campaign started on campus in January with meatless meals being offered each week in the school’s dining facilities. On Monday, March 5th, NYU celebrated the addition of Meatless Monday events to the roster, including free tastings, cooking demonstrations, guest speakers and raffles.
Meatless Monday is part of the school’s The Climate Change: It’s What’s For Dinner campaign, an effort to raise awareness about the connection between what we eat and the environment. In addition to weekly meatless meals and events, NYU is helping students make healthy choices with, a Meatless Monday blog, official Twitter page, free off-campus eating guide and meatless recipe booklets.
