Blueberry Brainiac Smoothie

This breakfast blend is a great way to get energized before a demanding day. Quick to prepare and easily transportable, blueberries are a great source vitamins B, C, E and K and the seeds are loaded with protein. This recipe comes to us from Kinzie of To Cheese or Not to Cheese?

Serves 2

  • 1 cup vanilla soy milk
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup blueberries, fresh or frozen
  • 2 tablespoons flax seeds*
  • 2 tablespoons hemp seeds**
  • ice

    *Found in the health food section or the baking section of most grocery stores.
    **Optional. Found in most health food stores.

    Combine milk, water, banana, blueberries, hemp seeds, flax seeds and ice in a blender.

    Blend for 30-60 seconds or until smooth. Enjoy!
