Before heading out to the pre-game party, make a game plan. Visit your grocery store to stock up on the foods you want. Focus on fruits and veggies and follow these few tips:
- Substitute veggie hot dogs, veggie burgers or portobello mushroom caps for meat
- Use olive or canola oil to cook with
- Be aware of portion size
- Fill up on fruits, veggies and salads
- Try baked chips and salsa or pretzels in lieu of fried snacks
