Sir Paul McCartney has teamed up with climate experts to urge cities worldwide to go meatless on Monday! McCartney spoke to legislators at the European Parliament on December 3rd, citing Baltimore City Public Schools as a major victory and calling on international cities to follow suit. He encourages all of us to help protect the environment by going meatless on Monday.

The movement we began in 2003 is spreading around the globe! From cities in Europe, and religious institutions in Asia, to city school systems right here in the U.S., people are cutting back on meat one day a week to improve their health and the health of the planet as a whole. On the same day we launched our new website, the former Beatle, along with his daughters Stella and Mary, kicked off Meat Free Monday in the U.K. Sir Paul has put together an impressive list of celebrities and international organizations working to slow climate change. Now on both sides of “the pond,†people have a compelling reason to start the week meatless.
