Irish Soda Bread

This simple to make Irish Soda Bread recipe comes straight from the McCarthy household to you! We’d like to thank Erin at the Eat Well Guide for her wonderful contribution!

  • 3 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoon. baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoon. butter
  • 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
  • 1 1/2 cups of raisins
  • 1 handful of caraway seeds

Mix dry ingredients. Beat eggs, buttermilk, butter. Add to dry ingredients, add raisins and caraway seeds.

Bake one hour at 350 degrees.

You need a pan about 9″ across.
